| Restaurant Little House - Mala Hiza is located in Mackovac, 4km north of Cakovec on the way to the border crossing of M. Sredisce – Lendava. This house was originally built in year 1887 on the island of Svibovski near Ivanje Reke – Zagreb east. Its present owner decided to take apart the house and in year 1996, piece by piece, transferred it to its present location and with great determination and dedication rebuilt it. It took 6 years to rebuild and transform it into a warm and delightful restaurant which since April 10, 2001 gained a reputation amongst business clients, natives as well as foreigners. The restaurant seats 40 indoors and 30 in the winter garden. There is also a summer terrase which is surrounded by a beautiful lake, rockery, creek, and orchard. In its natural shade, guests can play tennis and table tennis while the kids can play on the swings. Your hosts have done their best to make you feel right at home. The staff of 11 personnel are at your service and will do their best to fulfill your needs. The menu is concepted by the owner and is mainly based on traditional meals from Medimurje. Using to freshest of ingredients, guests can enjoy home-made pastas, bread as well as lovely traditional home-made desserts. It is also changed periodically (spring to fall) and the wine list is made up of wines from Medimurje as well as foreign wines including red and white wine of the highest quality. |
