Ist is a small island located in the archipelago of Zadar. It has a surface of 10 km 2. The highest peak on the island is Straza (Guardian) on which is situated a little church with a magnificent view. The island has 250 permanent habitants. For a long period Ist was a favorite destinations for yachtsman, divers and fishermans. On the island is situated a little marine which makes the location more attractive for yachtsman. Ist is surrounded with numerous little islands and cliffs. What makes him so attractive for tourists it's his interesting shape that reminds on two connected horseshoe with many interspersed sandy bays.

On the island are located two well equipped shops, bars, restaurants and a pizza place.

In the centre of the island is istuated a sandy beach with a pine forrest in the vicinity.
