The island of Cres is known for its many phenomenons. One of them is the fresh water lake Vran which is quite large (5km2) and interesting because of its geological and hydrological characteristics. Another interesting phenomenon and most fascinating of all, is that the island of Cres is the only place in the world where you will find the nesting place of the white-headed vulture. It is a haven for nature lovers.
