In a woody area on the north-west part of the island of Krk, the biggest island on the Adriatic coast, is situated Malinska. Malinska is filled with Mediterranean vegetative species which with gentle climatic conditions and a clean sea guarantees to its guests a pleasant vacation.

The town was first mentioned in the XV century, and once was the main harbour for wood export on the island. The wide area of Malinska is full of sandy and gravel beaches. Along the coast is located a promenade called Rajski vrt - Paradise way, and for the bather are arranged 3 beaches. If you are not a fan of crowded beaches, the hidden bays of Malinska are exactly what you need.

Malinska offers a diverse offer for the guests who prefer an active type of vacation. Horse riding, tennis, bowling, and mini-golf, aquatic sports like diving, windsurfing and underwater fishing are just few of those.

Like in every littoral town the cultural summer lasts from 15.06. till 15.09. In that period the habitants of Malinska celebrate their patron Saint Apollinaris the 23.07., and there are also regattas, fisherman's nights and the folklore nights and the national music. For the lovers of historic - cultural monuments we advise to visit the monastery of the Franciscan from the 1500 with a museum collection and a rich library and the ruins of the Benedict monastery and the church from the XI: century in the bay of Saint Martin.  

The gastronomically offer of Malinska is testable in many restaurants in which we recommend to try fish menus and a vine from the domestic production.
