On the Kaminsko-Savinjske Alps, at the north-east of Kranj, with a beautiful sight on Lubiana valley and on the peaks of Julian and Kaminjsko-Savinjske Alps, it’s situated Krvavec, one of the very best ski-resorts in Slovenia. This title is confirmed by the fact that precisely Krvavec is the winner of the Crystal Snowflake for the best ski-resort in Slovenia.
Krvavec ski-resort is located on a range of 1450-1970 m of highness and it’s ski paths spreads over the alpinian pastures, which beneficiate the thing that for quality skiing is not necessary to have a huge amount of snow. The ski-resort is open from November till the middle of April, sometimes even longer, which guaranties a total of 100 days of skiing season, and with good weather conditions comes to 150 days of ski season. If the nautre fails to fill the ski resort with natural snow there are cannons for artifical snow to correct this lack. The ski-resort spreads on 106 hectare of which 56 hectare covers ski paths of the length of 33 km of which: begginners 10 km, intermediate 18km and professional 5km. Here are also set the sleigh paths and ski paths with hoopsers and off the beaten ski- paths that will satisfy even the most demanding skiers.
The snowboarders will also find something for them, because on Krvavec there is also a snowboard fun park with several jumps.
If You come as a beginner or You just want to improve Your skiing here are also ski schools and school for snowboarding and telemark skiing… An additional advantage of this ski resort is the possibility of renting the ski equipment directly on the ski-resort.
Aa a supplement to a ski offer there is an entertaiment program with animation and price-winning games, and when the night fals there is a dico club in the mountain shelter on Krvavec.
Several hotels, inns and mountain shelters are situated near the ski resort, while other accomodation infrastructure such as hotels, apartaments, inns, private houses and rooms-are located in the valley under Krvavec.
Near the ski-paths are also located 5 restaurants and 4 snack-bars, while in the villages under the ski resort are placed taverns, guesthouses, restaurants and bars in which You can find an excellent gastronomic offer.
