Komiza is a small city situated on the West Side of the island of Vis. The place was funded during the time of the Republic of Venice.
The island is connected with the mainland with a ferry line that goes to Split and back.
The habitants of Komiza are known for their fishing tradition. During a certain period in the past there were located 7 fish refinement factories that were completely destroyed after World War II.
The accommodation in Komiza is available in the hotel or in apartments in private houses that are on disposal during the whole year.
