Kali are the largest place on the Ugljan Island, situated in the archipelago of Zadar. It's mentioned for the first time in a document that dates from the 1299. Kali is known as a hometown of many known fishermen. There are two harbours full of small fishing boats in the place. The old town it's characterised by tight streets and stone made houses in Dalmatian style. On the tip of the old town centre is located the church of Saint Lawrence the protector of the place.
Kali is connected with the mainland with a permanent ferry line. Except fishing the people deal with tourism. More and more houses have apartments and rooms for the guests during the summer season.
