Beschrijving van het objekt
| The foundations of Hotel Vicko were laid in 1967 when the Katic family started their well-known restaurant «4 FERALA». In 1977 the restaurant and its owner Vicko Katic received award for best restaurant on this side of the Adriatic Sea. The Katic family continued its uninterrupted catering tradition and on April 12th 1990 it was one of the first in the Republic of Croatia to found a family hotel, Hotel Vicko. After the Croatian War of Independence the earlier started project continued and in 1997 started the renovation which was ended in 1999. The hotel consists of 23 rooms, a large air-conditioned restaurant, coffee shop, exchange office, souvenir shop, supermarket, watched parking and a children´s playroom. The hotel offer is based on active vacationing: visit to the 6 national parks, rafting, hiking, mountaineering, cave visiting, mountain bike tours, Velebit Canal boat cruising, team-building, paintball, picnics, promotions and professional counselling, seminars and congresses combined with healthy food based on Velebit medical herbs and prepared according to the old recipes of this Velebit region. In the year 2000, following world trends and the recommendation of The Ministry of Health, Hotel Vicko introduced the HACCP system – international control of food products in catering business. |
