The Hercegbosanska county is located in the western part of the Federation of Bosnia and Hercegovina and borders with Croatia. The cities of
Drvar, Glamoc, Livno, Bosansko Grahovo, Kupres and Tomislavgrad are the municipalities which make up the Hercegbosansko county. It spans over 5,020km of land. The population in this area before year 1991 was 115,726, and now it is an estimated 90,000. The natural and geographical characteristics of the area are very diverse including spacious fertile fields and pastures, rivers and lakes, and bright green forrests. These characteristics offer the ability for economic development in agricultural production, stock-breeding as well as the lumber industry. The alpine climate followed by clean air, many sunny days, high mountains surrounded by beautiful fields, mysterious forrests, lakes and rivers which are rich with trout all make this area unique and an attractive holiday spot throughout the whole year.
